Thanks for starting a photo essay! Some things to consider:

  • If you are using your own photographs, you are probably doing original reporting. Remember to leave reporter's notes on the discussion page that explains when and where you took the pictures, and all information necessary to verify what you wrote in the article. This includes how you learned this information.
  • Remember to credit the photographer by including {{image credit|PHOTOGRAPHER}} in the image description. Replace PHOTOGRAPHER with the name of the photographer.
  • Follow the neutral point of view policy.
  • Cite your sources, there is a link to add the {{source}} template at the cursor position below the edit box.
  • When linking to Wikipedia, please use {{W|page name|display text}} or {{W|page name}} (if it's the same as display text).
  • Add {{review}} when you feel the article is ready. Once reviewed, your article will be published. Until then, it's in stories in development where others may work on it; you are recommended to try and do this yourself.
  • Please don't submit copyrighted work (including copy & paste of sections from articles!) – this includes most websites, even if you cannot see a copyright notice.
